Okay, let's be honest, one of the best things about having kids is you get to play with TOYS again! And what is more fun than a weekend filled with the latest and greatest toys of the year?! I am super excited to be attending the Chicago Toy & Game Fair at Navy Pier for the very first time.  

Not only will there be tons of fun toys and games, but family focused events as well! There is something for everyone in your family! 

Event Schedule:

10:00AM – 2:00PM: Check out the Young Inventor Challenge (YIC) exhibits and delight in the creative, fun toy and game inventions these aspiring young creators comprised this year! Cast your votes for the “Best in Show” and the “People’s Choice” awards and see who goes home a winner.  

10:00PM – 6:00PM: The Cantan National Championship is open to anyone ages 18 and up. Players will compete on Saturday, November 22nd by playing 3 games of Settlers of Cantan. The players are then ranked and the top 16 will be invited back on Sunday to compete in the final rounds. The winner will be sponsored by Mayfair Games to travel to GenCon 2015 to compete for the chance to represent the USA in the 2016 World Championship

12:00PM – 2:00PM: The first 1,000 guests to the fair will receive a copy of “About Jenga” by inventor/author Leslie Scott, so get there early! Leslie Scott will be signing copies of her book both Saturday and Sunday.

12:00PM – 1:00PM: Meet and eat with your favorites from Star Wars 501st Legion: Vader’s First! (Registration required: http://www.chitagfair.com/star-wars-luncheon/ ; Cost: $30 per child, $36 per adult

2:00PM - 6:00PMParticipate in the U.S. Rummikub Championship. The winner receives a round trip flight for two and $1,000 in travel expenses to the Rummikub World Championship in Germany in 2015
