Easy & Delicious Side Dish: Carrot Fries

As a mom, I love finding fun new ways to incorporate veggies into our meals.  My kids love french fries and carrots, so I figured why not give carrot fries a try! Also, it's super easy and you can prep ahead and just toss and bake!

Basic Ingredients:

7-8 Whole Carrots (more or less depending on family size)
Olive Oil
Sea Salt

Directions:

Peel and chop carrots into sticks.  Toss carrots in olive oil. Lay flat on a baking sheet and sprinkle with sea salt.

Bake at 425 degrees for a half-hour or until carrots are tender.  Optional: Broil for a few minutes to gain crispiness.

Serve with dipping sauce of your choice.  We recommend hummus, ketchup, ranch, blue cheese.

Optional flavorings:
You can toss the carrots with any of the following to add extra flavor to your "fries" before baking.
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Smoke Paprika
Cumin
Italian Seasoning

Hope you enjoy!  Should you come across combination of seasonings that you love, please feel free to share below!
