My Favorite Hyland’s Summertime Memories Contest

It's that fabulous time of year again....SUMMER!!  As a kid, summers meant no school and lots of long days with swimming and hanging out with friends.  Some of my favorite memories include being outside.  Whether it was hanging out by the pool on a hot day or rollerblading around our country roads to visit my friends, every day was fun and carefree! Just as my childhood was full of outside adventures, my body was full of bumps, bruises, bug bites and many other "souvenirs" of my summer days.

Now that I am a mother, it's important to give my children these same memories of summer, so I anticipate they will also get some of the same "souvenirs" and have decided to turn away from the traditional ointments and treatments full of dangerous chemicals and use Hyland's.

Do you own a dishwasher, but still have to pre-rinse or even pre-wash your dishes? 

I know that as a family of two adults and two toddlers, we are running our dishwasher a minimum of once a day and sometimes twice.  Since we split the household chores, my husband gets the fun job of pre-washing our dishes just so that our so called dishwasher will do it's job and get them clean.  Personally, as I watch the time and effort that goes into this process, I get more annoyed.  Shouldn't the DISHWASHER actually wash everything off the dishes?!  It is only 8 years old, but I'm guessing that is old enough to no longer do it's job. Honestly, it sounds like it's going to take right off out of our kitchen some nights with our dishes inside, which we reference to others as the "Ultrasonic" features.  As for detergents, I feel like we have tried them all. From the all-natural or home remedies to the super ultra-powerful powder or liquid and none have ever made a difference and sometimes things just got worse.  I know that personally, when I unload the dishwasher (or my husband does), I want to see happy, sparkly clean dishes and not the film or residue that so many soaps leave behind, causing me to feel like the icky germs are still there.
