SMM Review:

First off, let me just start off by explaining that I am a HUGE Wizard of Oz collector and fan! I actually planned that we would see OZ: The Great and Powerful the weekend it debuted in theaters, six months in advance!

For our review, we received the Wizard doll. Immediately upon receiving the doll, I could tell that it was a high quality item and fell in love with it! The likeness of the doll to the real James Franco is uncanny! Also, he came with the china doll figure and the details are immaculate.
I have to admit it took me several days and lots of begging by my little ones to even open the box. As a collector, I wanted to just add it to my collection fully intact, but I knew my little ones would like playing with it, so I painfully opened it.

I am happy to admit that we just love these pieces. The details and craftsmanship of the items was obvious from outside the box, but once I opened it, I was even more delighted!
The Wizard features a wardrobe that matches the movie all the way down to the small intricacies of buttons. His hair is also just remarkable. My little girl just loves it and I'm pretty sure she has her first crush! Everyone is familiar with those famous “B” dolls we had growing up and how their hair always seemed so thin. Well, this doll is the opposite! He has a beautiful head of hair that is anything but thin. The Wizard also features two accessories, his bag and hat. These are both hard molded out of extremely tough plastic and have wonderful details on them!

Now, I just want to take a moment to review the China Doll figure that came with the Wizard. Although she is small, the details of her of enormous! She was one of my favorite characters in the movie and this “accessory” to the Wizard really captures her well. The materials and paint they used to create her really expresses just how fragile she is supposed to be. However, she isn’t fragile in quality at all. She is sturdy just like the Wizard and other accessories and will definitely withstand the test of time!

Overall, these dolls are just fantastic for any child or OZ fan in your life!
