Let's face it, life is stressful! Stress comes from jobs, family, responsibilities and unexpected events in our daily lives.  Personally, one of the most stressful times of my life is when my kids get sick. To me, having a sick baby or kid is stressful because I would do anything to make them better in an instant and they are just so helpless.  When my kids get sick, I try to alleviate the stress by fully assessing their illness, taking them to the appropriate doctor if necessary, and making sure I have a plan for remedying their ailments.  I also keep a fully stocked cabinet of Hyland's products that I know I can rely on and trust.

Right now, Savy Toddler has a cold and immediately my mind focuses on this new respiratory virus going around that is landing kids in the hospital.  I am managing my stress by giving her the best care I can to prevent her virus from getting worse and if she does need medical attention, I have a plan for seeking it.
I am also stressed that our youngest, Savy Baby, and our oldest, Savy Preschooler, will get the virus.  I know that stressing out about it won't prevent them from catching it and since my kids LOVE to share their germs with one another more than anything else, it's likely they will.  So, I am handling this stress by making sure I have enough medicine for them as well as a plan of action if either will need additional medical treatment.
At the end of the day, stressing over my children's health is a common thing for me, and I do my best to watch some reality TV, drink a glass of milk and relax on my couch.  It's these little things that help me de-stress at the end of the day.
