Daily Random Thoughts 2015 - Day #3: Movie Theaters #movies #2015 #randomthoughts

It's Day #3 of "Daily Random Thoughts 2015" and today we went to the movies and saw the newest movie in The Hobbit series. Quickly, I will tell you that the movie was REALLY good and I have yet to see a single other Hobbit or Lord of the Rings movie.  Anyways, while I was in the movie theater, I thought about some things I wanted to know about movie theaters.

What is the profit percentage the movie theater makes on popcorn? The theater makes 85% profit on popcorn! (source: Wikipedia)
What is the largest movie theater? Located in Madrid, Spain, it holds 9,200 people total with 25 screens.(source: Wikipedia)
Highest grossing movie of all time? Avatar is the highest grossing movie of all time with over $2.7 billion in ticket sales worldwide.  If adjusted for inflation, the highest grossing movie of all time is Gone with the Wind at over $3.3 billion. (source: Wikipedia)
